Cute Treat Container

I was just over at SCS and the Wednesday tutorial was for sour cream containers. I thought they were very cute and needed a little thank you for a collegue at work. Here is my first attempt at it. I am very pleased with the finished product and hope she will too.

I used the Friendship Blooms set (a Sale-a-bration set) and made a matching card.
The colours are More Mustard, Bravo Burgandy, Handsome Hunter and Night of Navy.

MIA

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while but I have returned to full time work s a music teacher at a primary school. It is a very large school of over 900 children whom I teach a music lesson to every week. A lot has changed in the 18 months since I left to go on leave. There have been changes to the way we deliver the curriculum and I have had to revamp my teaching to meet it. It has meant many late nights at the computer and reading all the relevant documents but I have nearly finished. Woo Hoo!!!
I have had some time to make some cards. This is an Emergency Birthday Card kit that I saw on SCS. They used a Simply Scrappin' Kit but I decided to use a One Sheet Wonder to do the same. I used the Time Well Spent set and Bashfull Blue, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Barely Banana cardstock. I am pleased with how it has turned out.

I have nearly finished another kit using brighter colours that are more suitable for the men in our lives. I will post pictures as soon as I have finished!

Friendship Cards

I love to send out cards to my friends that live away from me, to let them know I am thinking of them. I made these two cards last week to have ready to send out in the next couple of weeks.

This card uses the flowers and sentiment from the Time Well Sent set that was given to all demonstrators by Stampin' Up! I just love this set. It is so versatile! I also used the sentiment from the Sale-a-bration set called Friendship Bloosm.I used Yoyo Yellow, Apricot Appeal and Only Orange ink. The ribbon and cardstock is not SU.

This card I used the dress from the level 1 hostess gift called Bloomin with Happiness. I coloured in the images using the Soft Subltles Stampin' Write markers. They are very versatile and match perfectly with the SU cardstock and inks.

More Cards

This next card I used my Thank you gift from Stampin' Up! called Time Well Spent. It is going to be in the new catalogue in April as a Level 3 Hostess gift. I cased it from SCS-Rebuh (who cased it form Nancy Riley- don't you just love the world of card-makers and their williness to share?!). I made a few subtle changes to her orignal card.

The cardstock is not SU but it does come close to the Tempting Turquoise, Orchid Opulence and Gable Green inks that I used to colour my pictures. I used my Frenchville crimper to crimp strips for down the edge and the new Sale-a-bration set Lots of Thoughts for my sentiment.

On a Roll

Have been on a card making roll for the past 2 days. Here are my creations from today.

The fisrt card I saw on SCS. It was made by Teneale and I was drawn to the colours. So I created my own version of her card. Love the colour combination of Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red and Old Olive. I also used Chocolate Chip. I then made the sencond card using the same colours. This time I used Terrific Tags and Itty Bitty Backgrounds. The ribbon is from Dotty's Craft Shop and came in a pack of 6 ribbons.

Baby Album

My good friends Lee and Mal have just had their first baby. A boy named Luke. I decided to make them a little album. When I bought my Bind-it-All, it had displayed a heap of ideas for using it- one of them was a CD album. Basically you just cover and decorate old CDs and then bind them together. It was pretty easy and I have learnt from the experience.

I traced the "L" from my computer onto Certainly Celery card and then stamped the rest of the name in the same coloured using Whimsical Alphabet Upper. The paper is from Flavia and came in a bulk pack.

More Flavia paper. I ghosted the top title using Bashful Blue and Brilliant Blue. The pram stamp and the titles are clear stamps but I can't remember which brand!

More Flavia paper. Title in Tempting Turquoise. Riviting in Ballet Blue.

More Flavia paper. Titles in Almost Amethyst and Brocade Blue.

More Flavia paper. Titles in Certainly Celery.

Busy Busy Busy....

I have been very busy for the last 2 days making cards. I do not have a huge amount so show for my efforts but I have just enjoyed sitting at my craft desk and creating- with no time restrictions on me. I cased some of these cards from ideas from SCS- just love that place! It really gets your creativity going!!

I just love using the crayon resist technique. I used Ballet Blue, Creamy Caramel and Certainly Celery ink a nd cardstock. The stamp set is Polka Dots and Petals.

I am drawn to using black, white and a colour. For these two cards I did just that, adding Taken with Teal and Orchid Opulence with the black and white.

This is a very versatile card. I haven't put a sentiment on it yet but it could be used as a birthday card or a thank you card or a thinking of you card.

Will post some more pics tomorrow. I hope you like my creations!
Cheers,
Chrissie
