Convention Gifts

One thing I love about going to Convention is making little gifts for roomies and team members. Here are the gifts that I made. I had 3 roomies so I will start with their gifts first! I used a box that our stamps came in and then decorated them! Inside the boxes were a notebook and pen, a handmade necklace and some Tim Tams. Each box was made the same…I just changed the DSP and colours for each.

Kims Box Kims Box Inside

For Kim’s box, I used Raspberry Tart DSP as my colour palette.

Alices Box Alices Box Inside

For Alice’s box, I used Cottage Garden DSP as my colour palette.

Tinas Box Tinas Box Inside

For Tina’s Box I used Autumn Traditions DSP as my colour palette.

Two of my Sienna Stampers team members also came to Convention for the first time this year. To celebrate their first Convention, I made them a little box with lollies and a handmade necklace inside.

Cassies Box Cassies Box2

For Cassie’s box I used Raspberry Tart DSP to decorate the box.

Mays Box2 Mays Box

For May’s box, I used Washington Apple DSP to decorate the box.

The girls all loved their boxes and I was so happy to make these little gifts!

Sydney Convention

Stampin’ Up!’s Convention this year was in Sydney. I flew down with many of my Inkcredible team members on Thursday morning ready for 2 days of fun- swapping cards, making projects, hearing about new ways of conducting my business and catching up with my Stampin’ Up cyber friends.

Our first night was drama packed as we were evacuated TWICE from our apartment due to a faulty fire alarm system.

Here we are out in the street in our jammies waiting for the all clear.

Here I am with Tina and Alice outside the main stage area where we had our general sessions and our make and takes!IMG_3713-300x199

On the last night, there is the awards dinner. We were lucky enough to have Shelli and Stirling Gardner sit with us. Shelli is the co-founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up! and it was lovely to spend time with her and her husband.

Next year Convention will be in Melbourne and will be for 3 days!! Can’t wait!!

Not Long Now!!

It is not long now until I leave for Sydney for Stampin’ Up!’s annual Convention. I am very excited and have been busy making swaps and pressies…that is why I have been so quiet. I can’t show you what I have made yet…it has to be a surprise…but I will as soon as I get back..I promise!!

In the mean time…I will show you the projects we made in April for my Mother’s Day-Big Shot class.

April Class4

We made a box using the BIG SHOT die and 6 cards to go inside the box. The colours looked so pretty together and the POLKA DOTS EMBOSSING Folder seemed to make the cards POP! The flowers were made using the FAUX SUEDE technique and circle punches.

April Class1 April Class

Inks: Barely Banana, Blush Blossom, Bordering Blue, Mellow Moss, Pretty In Pink, Perfect Plum Stamps: Teeny Tiny Sentiments Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Circle Punches, Word Window Punch, Large Oval Punch, Silver Brads.

It was so much fun making these little cards!!
