What a busy week I have had! Each year, my school commemorates ANZAC Day with a special parade. The school's Band and Choir perform and the Student Council tell the school the meaning of ANZAC Day. So to prepare for the parade, I had lots of rehearsals with the kids (mainly in my lunchtimes). The Parade was a great success. The children performed beautifully and our special guests were very impressed.
On the stamping side, I had my new catty launch on Friday night. 11 lovely ladies attended and I had a great time sharing lots of the new products in the catty. For the launch, I decided that I would demonstrate the new Bright Delights Rub Ons. Now I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of Rubons. I just dont' seem to know how to use them. That was until I got my packet of Bright Delights. I have put Rub Ons on everything. I got some very plain glasses and got decorating. It was soooo easy! It took only a few minutes.
I love these glasses and I will be back tomorrow with a card I have made using the Rubons too!
Cheers

Build a Brad
When the new catty came out, one of the new accessories in it was Build a Brad. This is a cool way to customise your brads so that they match your card or scrapbook page. Today, while at an event organised by my upline Kim, we were talking about the many ways you could use it... stamp an image, use some DSP or a photo. Now Kim thought that it might be too small for a photo. Well that just screamed challenge to me. So when I came home, I decided to make a brad using a photo of Kim.
And this is what I came up with. (Click on the photo to see it better) My cyber friend Nerine...waving Hi Nerine :)... made this fabulous card and I decided that I would make one too. I have used the Embrace Life stamp set and stamped the bamboo stamp in Brocade and Pretty in Pink. I mounted the 3 panels in Pretty in Pink. I put the brad in the middle of the Think Happy Thoughts set and then punched it out using the 1 1/4" circle punch, mounted it on a 1 3/8" Brocade circle and then mounted it all on a Pretty in Pink scallop circle punch. I am really happy with how the card has turned out!
What do you think?

Totally Tools
There are probably 2 things that I struggle to do well (in my mind anyway) when it comes to stamping. The first is to use Bold Brights and the second is to make male cards. When the new Australian catty came out and I saw the set Totally Tools, I thought that I would have at least one of these eliminated. So tonight I sat down and got out my new set and decided to make a male card. And here is the result.
Now I am just not sure about this card. I wanted to use Bold Brights because most of the tools that my DH has strewn around the sheds and garage have brightly coloured handles. And I had this idea of scattering the tools all over a piece of card and colouring the handles. But now that it is doen... I am a bit iffy!
So what do you think? I don't hate it... but I just don't love it! So if you have any great suggestions, then let me know.
Cheers

New Rubber
Yesterday my first order from the new catty arrived and tonight I mounted all my sets and made a card using one of them.
I absolutely love this set- Fifth Avenue Floral. I saw this card on SCS and just had to case it! I used Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss to stamp the flowers and then used a greeting from On Your Birthday. I finished the card off with Kiwi Satin Ribbon (another new favourite).
I just love this card. I am going to be using it a lot! I hope you like it too!!

Good Friend
Last weekend, I went to a team get together with my upline Kim. We had a great afternoon of chatting and making some projects. This is the card that we made.
The stamp set is called A Good Friend and it is in the new catty. We used 3 of the new In Colours of Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point. I really like these 3 colours together and I am sure you will see many more cards made using this colour combination. The card is is quite easy to make but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me!
Have a great day.

Pun Fun
Here is my first creation with some of my goodies from the new catty. I have cased it from the catty.
Here is the card from the new catty!
Here is my card. I have used the new In Colours of Pink Piroette, Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze. I coloured the hippo in with my Aqua Painter and Kiwi and Pink Piroette ink. I distressed the edges and stuck it on with dementionals. I also got out my sewing machine and ran some sewing along the edges of the strips of Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss cardstock.
Cheers

Happy New Catalogue
The new Australian Stampin' Up! catalogue is HERE! And I must say that I just LOVE IT! This is the 3rd catalogue that I have been a demontrator for and I think it is the best. There are so many beautiful stamp sets and delicious new Designer Series Paper and embellishments... I am almost not sure where to start.
My first order will be here on Monday or Tuesday and I cannot wait to start playing with my new goodies!
If you would like to look at the catty online, click here. If you would like your own copy to drool (I mean read LOL) over, please don't hesitate to email me.
Will be back soon with some of my creations with some new sets from the catty!
Cheers
Chrissie
