Ok... so don't fall down, but this is post number 3 for today! Yes I know... it is unheard of for me! But I have lots to show you so I might as well while the kids are not sitting on my lap!
Today I taught a class using the "Fishy Friends" stamp set and Spring Break DSP. We made a mini pizza box with 6 small cards to match.
Front of the Box
Card Number 1
Card Number 2
Card Number 3
Card Number 4
Card Number 5
Card Number 6
All the cards are 3 3/4" square. We used Blue Bayou, Old Olive, Soft Sky and Pumpkin Pie cardstock to match in with the colours in the Designer Series Paper. We also used Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon, Old Olive wide grosgrain ribbon and Blue Bayou double-stitched ribbon.
Thanks to Jen del Muro for the inspiration for this project.
Cheers

Mini Magazine Holder
So I was doing some blog surfing this afternoon and I came across Becky Roberts. She has some amazing work on her blog and I found these mini magazine holders so, of course, I just had to make one! Her tutorial is very easy to follow and I had one made in about 10 minutes.
I used Sage Shadow for the base and Spring Fling DSP to decorate it! I finished it off with Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware and Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon.
It is very cute and I amd going to make some 3x3 cards to go inside of it!
Thanks for looking.

Getting Organised
Well in little over a week, I will have to go back to work teaching music at a local primary school. It also means that my DD will also being going back to school. This year she is in Grade One. I spent Friday covering all her school books. I decided that I would cover her books in butcher's paper, stamp on them and then cover them in clear contact. Here is my efforts!
Her scrap books!
Her writing books.
We picked 4 colours... Pixie Pink, Lovely Lilac, Tempting Turquoise and Glorious Green. I printed out her name and her class on the computer and then punched them out using the 1 1/4" circle punch. I then layered them with the 1 3/8" circle and the scallop circle punch using these colours. She then picked out the stamp sets that she liked and we stamped away.
I know that no-one else will have their books covered the same way so she will be able to find her books easily.
She is happy with them and we had fundoing it together.
Cheers

Catching Up
I know... wow my second post for today!
While I have been away I have been awarded a Kreativ Blogger Award by Rebecca and Nerine. I am trully humbled by this award and thank both of these beautiful ladies for honouring me with this award.
Now I need to award it to 5 other bloggers, but everyone I was going to award it to has already been awarded it... so I will give it to 3 people's blog who I love going to for inspiration!

Some Away Time
Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and that 2009 is not causing too many troubles just yet. I had a very relaxing Christmas with my family... my 2 beautiful children were very excited with the surprises that Santa left for them under the tree. There is something very special about Christmas and little children isn't there?
I have been a very bad blogger lately... actually I have been quite disorganied. I only sent out my Christmas cards on New Years Eve!
I have some cards to show you today that we made at a class I had in early December. It was an Emergency Birthday Card Kit. We made 8 cards, with envelopes in a Bag-a-lope.
All the cards used the same stamp set-Eastern Blooms which is in the Summer Mini Catalogue. For these cards, I decided to use something that I have never used before- Kraft cardstock. I combined it with Blue Bayou and Cameo Coral- again a colour combo I have not used before. I added some Kraft Taffeta ribbon, Blue Bayou Double Stitched ribbon, White Grosgrain ribbon dyed Cameo Coral and some hemp Twine. I also made an amazing discovery- Sahara Sand ink matches very well with Kraft card. Sorry I don't have a photo of the Bag-a-lope sorry because I gave mine away as a Christmas gift before taking a photo of it!
I hope you like these cards.
More soon I prosmise!
