Thank You Cards

My best friend Julie asked me if I would make her 16 thank you cards... and she wanted a variety of styles and colours. Here are a few that I have made... I will post the rest in a couple of days....(might as well milk it for all it is worth LOL)

This is a very simple card just using the Basics Outline Wheel. I wanted to challenge myself and use colours that I very rarely use. For this card, I have used Apricot Appeal, Pale Plum and Sage Shadow. Instead of completely colouring in the flowers, I have simply outlined them with the markers in the same colours.

My favourite set of all is Petal Prints... so I have used Chocolate Chip and Groovy Guava to create this card. I stamped the solid flower in Guava and then the outline in Chocolate Chip. I then punched out the flowers using the 1 3/8" circle punch. I then punched out a 1 1/2" circle in Guava. I have added a strip of Guava and a Chocolate ribbon to the edge of the card to bring out the colours in the flowers.

This was the fastest card that I made all weekend. I took two strips of Petals and Paisley DSP, joined it together with a strip of Pretty in Pink cardstock, added a Barely Banana Scallop circle with an Old Olive thank you stamp from the retired Riviting set. Love the simplicity and the clean lines of this card... will have to make more!
Hope you like my cards.. and will bring you more soon!
Cheers,
Chrissie

Hi Chrissie, I love these three cards but especially the first one. Bud Basics and the Basic wheel are my favourite sets. The colour combination is great too. Outlining the images instead of colouring them completely is a great idea - I'll have to try that one myslef.

Hi again, just wanted to let you know I was inspired by your Apricot Bud Basics card to make an 8"x8" scrapbook layout. I used it as a Maken 'n' Take at my first workshop! Check it out on my blog.
