Sweet Treat Card

OMG….2 posts in one day….in 20 minutes!!! Don’t fall off your chairs!! LOL

I have had a box of sweet treat cups for ages and I had no idea of what I was going to make with them. Then I saw a card made by a lady in the US using the chef from the Voila stamp set (sorry for the life of me I can’t find it again to give credit but thank you!!) I thought it was really clever so I decided to make one myself.

IMG_0034I just stamped the image in Stazon in the lower right-hand corner of my piece of Whisper White….making sure I had enough room for the cup in the top. I matted the card in Brocade Blue and then stuck it on a Kiwi Kiss card. I coloured the outline of my chef in the same colours and then filled the cup up with some mints.

I think it is pretty cool and will be making more!

New Teacher’s Presents

For the start of the new school year I thought I would make a present for my kids new teachers. My DH calls them my “sucking up to the teacher” presents!! LOL! I thought I would make them a coaster box with some home-made chocolate chip cookies in it.IMG_0035IMG_0036 IMG_0037

I used Stampin’ Up!’s new Kaleidoscope DSP to cover coasters and then joined the box together with Tangerine ribbon (retired). Because my kids both have 2 teachers, I made each box just a little different in how I laced the ribbon through. The paper is really pretty so I didn’t do too much decorating…I just added a scallop circle flower to the front of each box. I put some cookies in a cello bag and tied it up with some Regal Rose ribbon. The pictures doesn’t do them justice… but the teachers all loved them!
