Hi All.. it is the school holidays here in sunny Queensland so this week I have spent lots of time with my two darling children! So not too much card-making has been going on!!! I did have a great day on Wednesday at my upline, Kim's, house. There was lots of kids... lots of eating.. and lots of cardmaking going on. I can't show you my projects yet as they are still a work in progress but it was lots of fun!
Never fear... I do have some things to show you! I have to say sorry the photos are a little dark but it was take them tonight at my desk or wait another to make a post. I will try to redo the photos tomorrow for you!
In Australia... we don't really celebrate Halloween but I have seen some fabulous projects on SCS so I thought I would make some little treats to take with me on Wednesday for all the kids. I used the scraps off my desk to create the covers- 2' x 5 3/4". I then punched out scallops and circles and stamped out the animals from In the Wild. I scored the cardstock a quarter inch from each end and at the 3" mark. I then used my CAD to punch a hole in the middle of the 1/2 inch panels at each end. (Does any of that make sense? E-mail me if you have any questions)
On Saturday.. I did a workshop for one of my customers... she wanted to know more about the pastels and the markers. Here are the 2 projects that we made.
For this card, we coloured the Artfully Asian stamp using the markers. The colours are Blush Blossom, Rose Red and Always Artichoke. The colours were on my desk together from other projects and they just seemed to go!
This second card I demo-ed the poppin' pastels technique... where you stamp in Versamark and then use daubers to put the colour on the images. We used the Polka Dots and Petals set. The colours used were Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Blush Blossom, Barely Banana and Certainly Celery.
Cheers
Chrissie

Great ideas Chrissie. I love both cards. Great colours especially on the Artfully Asian card
Especially love the circle card Chrissie. Very cool. The circles really pop & the brad & button add some yummy details.
The treats look yummy too.
Thanks for all your lovely comments on my cards too. You're such a sweetie. Hope you're having a great week. Best wishes, Di :)
Looks great Chrissie...the kids are going to love the lollipops and I'm sure your hostess loved her party, the cards are lovely.
The treat boxes are adorable Chrissie... I have been admiring all of the halloween stuff around lately too... isn't it all AWESOME! Hey, I have tagged you for being so fabulous! My blog has the details if you are interested!
You're right. The colours on the Artfully Asian card certainly go together beautifully. I'm making a note of them in my Inspiration journal so I can play later today.
