Good Bye Miss Treena

Ok... so first up... sorry it has been such a long time since my last post! I have been flat out at work, had sick kids and me too and I have been busy with 2 classes within 2 weeks of each other (and another one on this Saturday) But I have heaps to share and will do so in the next few days!

My DD's teacher aide leaving our school after 15 years to move north to a "small" mining town. I have know Treena for the past 12 years and she is just the loveliest lady I know. She always has a smiling face and a great outlook on life. I am going to miss her terribly... so I thought I sould make her a going away gift.

I used So Saffron and Rose Red cardstock as well as the DSP palette of prints that were available last month from SU. I used lots of different stamp sets and dragged out my Sizzix machine to make titles. It made Miss Treena cry... and say that it was too beautiful to put photos in.

Thanks for looking,
Chrissie

More Thank You Cards

Here are some more Thank You cards I have made for my friend Julie.

I absolutely adore the Garden Whimsy set and the butterfly image just screams out to be rocked and rolled. Here I have used Soft Sky and Groovy Guava (the new In Colours). I used the So Swirly wheel in Soft Sky to add a feature for part of the background.

This is similar to a card I made earlier. I used the 2 lardg square punches this time to make the squares and only ued one layer instead of 2 around each of the Berry Bliss DSP.

Again, this is a take on a card I have made before. This time I have used Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, Pixie Pink and Yoyo Yellow from the Bold Brights family. I have used the Polka Dots and Petals set on whisper whit and used the crayon resist technique.

I just love (so many actually) the hostess set A Little Bit of Happiness set. It is just perfect for using the spotlight technique on. I have used So Saffron and Always Artichoke to frame the set and Crosshatch (retired) down the botton for a background.

This last card I used one of my new favourite colour combinations- Elegant Eggplant and Always Artichoke. This set is called Just Like You and was a gift for me froma friend in the US. I have used Elelgant Eggplant grosgrain ribbon and Always Artichoke brads to finish the card

My friend was thrilled with these cards and can't wait to use them.
Let me know what you think!
Cheers
Chrissie
