The first one is from the 1950's, the second one is from the 60's, the third one is from the 70's and the last one is from the 80's. Sadly.. I have a photo just like the one from the 80's in one of my photo albums!

Yearbook Photos
I was visiting my friend Susan's blog and saw this very fun idea of seeing what I would have looked like in yester-year. Go and have a try for yourself.. it is just great. Here is the link.

World Cardmaking Day
On Saturday, I went to a World Cardmaking Day event hosted by my upline Kim. It was so much fun to be a participant instead of the teacher. I was able to enjoy all the fun that the day had to offer. We started off the day with a Stamp-a-stack. We made 4 of 3 card designs.
We had a fabulous lunch and then there were 5 more projects after lunch.
The 5th project I haven't finished yet... I still have some colouring to do. I will upload it as soon as I have.
Everyone who attended had a great day. It was lots of fun! Thnaks Kim!!

Tree Change
So after making 10 flower cards...I was a bit sick of them! So I dragged out my LOvely as a Tree set and then hit the gallery at SCS. I just love that place and I wish I wrote down whose idea I stole....err cased but I am not that organised! So if a card looks familiar...please let me know and I will shout it from the rafters! Thanks to all those people who share their creations!!
For this card... I used masks gallore! I stamped the single pine in Night of Navy and then cut a mask for the right side of the tree. I cut out a circle from scrap cardstock and then stamped the row of trees in Going Grey. I sponged the edges and then removed both masks. I added a bit of Navy Ribbon and it was complete. A bit fiddly... but worth it I think!
This time... I just used the single pine. I stamped all three trees in Always Artichoke... stamping off the 2 on outer edges. I then got my Aqua painter and "coloured" the centre pine. I then stamped the centre pine in Handsome Hunter while the card was still wet. I sponged the edge of the card with Hansome Hunter. A very simple card but it has a lot of impact!

Even More Flowers
Here are even more flower cards that I have made... are you sick of them yet? I must say... I love flowers... so pretty... so girly.... so me! :)
Here is another card using the Bloomin'with Beauty set. For this card... I got my Rose Red and Always Artichoke markers and coloured the rubber... and then I got my aqua painter out and added more colour. I then added lots of layers, ribbons and brads. I really like the finished product.
This one is cased directly from SCS but I can't remember who-Sorry:( This is the set we got at the Brisbane Field training called Live Your Dreams. I used Chocolate Chip and Soft Sky. I used the Wheel from the Spring Solitude Bundle (Hostess Level 2) and my white craft ink.
When I had finished the card in the previous post using Petal Prints... I then immediately made this one. I used River Rock and Soft Sky with Stem Silhouettes. I added River Rock double stitched ribbon and a few embossed lines under the ribbon.
This is my least favourite card of all the ones I have made. The bouquet just doesn't do it for me! But it is not all about me (well just where these cards are concerned anyway LOL) I stamped the image in Basic Brown (did you know that Basic Brown is waterproof and doesn't run when you watercolour it?) and then coloured it in using my Watercolour Crayons. I finished it off with Pale Plum and Barely Banana cardstock and put it on Close to Cocoa card base.
Well that is all the flower cards for now... I have made some more cards for my friend but I have used trees in these card... what a rebel!!! LOL

More Flowers
Ok... as promised... here are some more of my flower creations.
So for this one I went super simple. I used Petal Prints (my all time-favourite) in Creamy Caramel. I stamped it once and then stamped off on the side. I added some Caramel Gingham ribbon and scored a couple of lines under the ribbon.
For this card, I used the Artfully Asian set. I also used, for the first time, Going Grey cardstock. I coloured the flowers in Eggplant and Celery and added some Celery ribbon.
This last card uses a set that I only got last week out of the Spring Mini... Bloomin'with Beauty. I stamped the flower on watercolour paper and coloured the flower using More Mustard and Old Olive. I matted it in Mustard and Olive and distressed the edges. I added some thick Olive Ribbon and tied a simple knot in it.

Flowers
Yeah I know... 2 posts in one day!!!
My best friend has asked me to make her some cards and the only thing she said she wanted was flowers! No colours- just flowers!
So I have made 12 so far!! I will put them up on my blog over the next few days.
My first card uses the retired set Stem Silhouettes. I loooovvve this set and was very sad when it retired. I stamped the background stamp from Oh So Lovely hostess set in Bashful Blue on Bashful cardstock. I then stamped the "flower" image in Night of Navy. I stamped the Barely Banana cardstock using the Canvas background stamp. I finished off the card with Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon.
I was on a roll with Bashful Blue so this card was also made with that colour. I stamped the stems from Artfully Asian set (my newest favourite set) in black stazon and then coloured the image in using my Aqua painters and inkpads- Brocade Blue and Always Artichoke. I then sponged the edges in Brocade. I added a loop of wide Brocade ribbon and secured it with a brad. The background cardstock is Artichoke and Certainly Celery.
My last card for tonight also uses colours from the Soft Subtle family- Pretty in Pink and Sage Shadow. I cased this card from SCS but I cannot remember who (sorry... let me know if if looks familiar). I have used the Season of Joy set which is in the Spring Mini Catalogue. I stamped the swirly stamp in River Rock and added Pink and Sage mini flowers. I then Stamped the bigger flower in Pink and Sage, cut them out and put a silver brad in the centres.
I love all three of these cards. There are no sentiments yet because I am not sure what my friend wants on them.
